We want to give a big THANK YOU to Joe Engert, operator of the downtown Decatur Chick-fil-A. Joe donated chicken sandwiches and bottles of water to feed the children at Decatur Housing Authority each day during the month of July.

Socially distanced Adult Round Robin will replace the Friday night and Sunday morning drills. Due to COVID-19, we will not be able to offer Friday night and Sunday morning drills in the format that has existed for so many years. We have altered these programs to provide mini match play options for adults in a fun and semi competitive setting. Players of all levels are welcome.
Singles and/or Doubles mini matches may be played depending on the number of people in each session. Mini matches will be first to 3 games with scoring handicaps offered to lower level players in the event that they are matched up against higher level players.
The cost is $15/$20 resident/non-resident. Fridays from 6:30-8:00 pm and Sunday from 9:30 – 11:00 am. Each player will be provided a can of balls. This program is ongoing.

You are invited to attend “Parenting through the Trauma of a Pandemic,” the DeKalb County School District virtual trauma-informed townhall meeting. This forum will provide parents and guardians with expert advice, supportive dialogue, coping tools, and external resources for navigating daily through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parents from City Schools of Decatur are welcome to attend.
Dates: August 4th and August 11th
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

National Cousins Day falls on the calendar every July 24 and is the perfect day to send some love to those family members we call cousins. Whether they were our first best friend or first antagonist, cousins are the people who made family get-togethers fun – or at least more tolerable and less awkward – when we were kids. Whether close cousins or distant cousins, friends or foes, those of us who are lucky enough to still have cousins around should think about celebrating them today.

National Gorgeous Grandma Day is celebrated on July 23 of every year. On National Gorgeous Grandma Day, we can celebrate the grannies in our lives. we celebrate those 50s and over women who live to get the most out of their lives. The ones who treasure themselves as much as their family, and most importantly they simply show a love for life. That’s really an amazing attitude and we appreciate all the positive energy that those gorgeous grandmas bring to the rest of us.

Update: McKoy Pool will open today at 2 pm
Glenlake Pool is open from 10 am until 6 pm.
Ebster and McKoy Pools are currently closed, with repairs in progress, and may open later today.

Find leaves, flowers and other objects from nature. Place a piece of paper over the object and color over the top of the object with a colored pencil. As you color, an imprint of the object will magically appear on the paper! After, try it with aluminium foil instead of paper!
